Camps & Kits
Â
CitySquare has a wide-range of in-kind needs right now to support our neighbors across programs - from our unsheltered neighbors moving into a home to the youth we're serving through afterschool and summer feeding programs, there are multiple ways to support our programs by creating camps or kits.
Create a Camp
You can create a camp tote at home and help kids have a great summer! Our CitySquare Food programs offer meals and fun camp-style activities by bringing along a tote full of items such as hula hoops, sidewalk chalk, balls, simple outdoor games, water toys or balloons, markers, crayons, and more. If you’re able to shop locally, please double your impact and support our city’s small businesses.
Grocery Bag Collection
With our increased food distribution, we have a need for more grocery bags! Each set of food distributed to a neighbor uses 6-8 bags. Collect plastic or reusable grocery store bags for use in our drive-through/walk-up food pantry. Rally your neighborhood to help with a posting on NextDoor or your local Facebook group or ask friends and family to leave them on your doorstep.
TRAC Food Boxes
Our TRAC drop-in center provides snacks and ready-to-eat meals to our youth, such as Rice-A-Roni, microwave meals, canned chili and soups, Vienna sausages, Kraft macaroni and cheese cups, Cup O’ Noodles, and Chef Boyardee. Protein-rich and healthy snacks are popular with the youth like bagged tuna kits, peanut butter, beef jerky, granola bars, apple sauce, and individual bags of nuts.
Gear & Goodies
Â
Whether you purchase a CitySquare t-shirt, clean out your closets filled with gently used baby gear, or send snacks or a meal to the CitySquare frontline staff and volunteers, there are many creative ways to support CitySquare from home.
Buy a T-Shirt
Want to officially call yourself a poverty fighter? Or do you want to spread awareness about homelessness? Purchase a CitySquare t-shirt – these are also locally designed and printed by Bullzerk. A limited-edition "Community Never Stops" t-shirt will be launched soon!
Good Buy Gear
CitySquare has partnered with the baby and kids' gear online marketplace, Good Buy Gear.
Sell your gently used items and donate the proceeds to CitySquare. Items that don’t sell after 120 days are donated to CitySquare to benefit young families in our TRAC program.
Social Supporters
Â
Maybe you're comfortable hosting a Facebook Fundraiser, or maybe you're all about the social media shares - you can rally your community to support CitySquare. And if your gift is to be an encourager, you may enjoy sending notes to those on the frontline - we've created an easy way for you to do so. Join us in community, and let's fight poverty together!
Facebook Fundraiser
