The Grant Writer is responsible for researching, identifying, developing and submitting grants for public and private organizations that aid in funding CitySquare’s programs and operations. The primary focus is on private and corporate foundations, public charities and United Way of Metropolitan Dallas. This person will work closely with program staff to ensure the Development team is aware of all program activities and services and so that Executive Leadership and Development can accurately and consistently communicate this information to grantors, donors, volunteers, media and community partners.

The Grant Writer will work closely with the Outcomes Manager for grant reporting purposes and will also remain in close contact with grantors to ensure the timely and successful submission of proposals and reports, as well as develop strong relationships that will help CitySquare secure additional funds in the future.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree required
Experience: 2-3 years of successful grant writing experience (grants approved for funding), preferably with a nonprofit organization. Knowledge of United Way grant process is a plus.
Additional Requirements: Exceptional writing and editing, organization, and detail and deadline conscious, proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, as well as database software. Ability to work flexible hours as requested.
