The Retention Specialist will provide specialized case management and coaching to graduates of the WorkPaths program who have been placed in employment. Requiring a professional demeanor with a strong customer service orientation, they will be the program’s ongoing representative to employers. They will perform some initial employability skills training functions during the program and build strong relationships with program trainees. They will sustain and grow employer partnerships, engaging with Human Resource staff and frontline supervisors. They will attain progress reports on graduates’ performance in the workplace for coaching purposes. They will conduct follow up calls and visits to trainees for the purpose of supporting their retention in the workplace. They may conduct onsite retention workshops at employer locations. They will support post-graduation functions to sustain ongoing relationships with program completers. They will connect employed trainees with WorkPaths staff for resource coaching and financial empowerment services. They will be responsible for data input and reporting.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree required; degree in social work, business or a related field preferred.
- Experience: Experience in workforce training, account management or recruitment highly desirable.
- Additional Requirements: Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook. Must be able to manage a database system. Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and on-call (24 hrs). Must have driver’s license and reliable transportation. Must be able to travel within assigned region on a daily basis. General knowledge of workforce services.
