Tonight will truly be A Night to Remember! Not only do we get to enjoy the comedic genius of Jerry Seinfeld with family and friends, we also get to make new friends with those who have never heard of CitySquare.
CitySquare fights the causes and effects of poverty through service, advocacy, and friendship. We fight to give our friends in poverty opportunity and hope. Hope is belief in the future. It is the anticipation of obtaining dreams and goals. It is trusting that today is not the end of the story. Hope is the confidence to continue moving forward.
At CitySquare, hope comes in various forms to our neighbors. To some it is a bag of groceries. To others it is a job. Hope is a lawyer that will take the case. It is a place to call home. Hope is hearing “the doctor will see you now.” It is a new suit to wear to the job interview. Hope is a friend who listens. It is safety from the streets. Hope is treatment for addiction. It is earning the certificate needed to launch a career. Hope is being treated as a neighbor instead of a number.
CitySquare is in the hope business. A donation to CitySquare is an investment in the future of Dallas. We hope you will make this A Night to Remember for our neighbors by making a donation to CitySquare tonight. Together, we can ensure our neighbors have a future beyond poverty. A future full of hope.
For our city,
About Jerry Seinfeld
Entertainment icon Jerry Seinfeld’s comedy career took off after his first appearance on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson in 1981. Eight years later, he teamed up with fellow comedian, Larry David, to create what was to become the most successful comedy series in the history of television, Seinfeld. The show ran on NBC for nine seasons, winning numerous Emmy, Golden Globe, and People’s Choice awards, and was named the greatest television show of all time in 2009 by TV Guide, and in 2012 was identified as the best sitcom ever in a 60 Minutes/Vanity Fair poll.
Seinfeld has also starred in, written, and produced movies (Comedian, Bee Movie), directed and produced a Broadway hit (Colin Quinn Long Story Short), and even wrote a best-selling book (Seinlanguage), and a children’s book (Halloween).
Seinfeld’s latest project is critically-acclaimed web series, Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, seen exclusively on Crackle and comediandsincarsgettingcoffee.com, which has garnered more than 100 million views. The New York Times describes the show as “a stealth powerhouse” and “impressively complex and artful” and calls Seinfeld an “online force.” Variety calls Comedians in Cars “a game changer.”
Seinfeld resides in New York City with his wife and three children. He remains active as a standup comedy performer, touring the country continuously.
