POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the Director of Development and the Chief Development Officer, the Manager of Donor Relations is part of a seven member team responsible for overseeing all donor relations endeavors including: monthly donor lunches, quarterly lunch and learns, offering tours for donors or perspective donors, creating donor cultivation pieces; managing relationships with current, prospective, and lapsed donors; managing sponsorships, co-chairs and host committee for fundraising and friendraising events (including but not limited to: A Night to Remember, Purses vs Poverty, Del Frisco’s 5k, and Lunch and Learns); and assisting the Development Department with other donor related activities as needed. Other Duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor’s Degree is required, preferably in English, Marketing/Communications, Human Services, or other related field.

Experience: Three (3) years of donor relations or experience in a similar role. Strong background in database management and reporting is a plus with one of the following systems or similar databases: BlackBaud Raiser’s Edge, Sage, People Soft, Salesforce, DonorPerfect, or iMIS.

Additional Requirements: Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Ability to work occasional over-time and flexible hours as needed/requested. Ability to work in a high energy, team setting with minimal supervision is also required. This individual must have excellent proven writing/spelling, analytical, and verbal communication skills and must be interested in a career in fundraising with a strong understanding of the importance of database administration/development operations.
