The A Way Home program is a landlord subsidized leasing program designed to rapidly house homeless individuals and families. The Manager of Community Landlord Relations (MCLR) is responsible for contacting landlords, property owners/managers, and community leaders/residents in moderate- to high-opportunity neighborhoods in Dallas. The MCLR will meet with landlords and property managers to explain the A Way Home Program and facilitate agreements between property owners and their representatives, the City of Dallas, and CitySquare. This position will also administrate the Landlord Incentive/Risk Mitigation portion of the program which is designed to pay landlords holding fees, damage fees and vacancy loss payments to reduce the risks of renting to individuals with little or no income. This position will also facilitate payments to property owners according to program guidelines. The Manager of Community Landlord Relations will coordinate with the A Way Home program manager and staff to place individuals and families for housing and facilitate the placement of program participants into their new homes. The individual in this position must be experienced in marketing programs to various audiences such as: real estate owners and managers and HOA communities.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required. Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Sociology, or similar education preferred.
- Experience: Two (2) or more years of experience in a similar role within a for-profit or non-profit setting required.
- Additional Requirements: Must have excellent personal communication and computer skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office 2010 (M.S. Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher). Ability to work occasional flexible hours as requested.
