The Food Recovery Kitchen Coordinator will assist with the development, implementation and operation of a program to expand the recovery of otherwise wasted food and safely transform it into healthy meals for our community. The initial phase will include developing operational logistics, building relationships with an expanded donor base and ensuring sustainability.
They will identify and develop partnerships for food sources and recruit sites or outlets for the distribution of the prepared meals. They will be responsible for the meal preparation and menu development. They will be responsible for all aspects of the program including the pick-up of recovered food, production of meals, delivery of prepared meals, inventory management and overall program administration.
By leveraging the local food supply chain and CitySquare’s existing infrastructure, our non-profit partners and neighbors will have increased access to low cost, nutritious meals that facilitate improved health outcomes and reduce food insecurity.
