The Food Recovery Kitchen Attendant will assist the Food Recovery team in the recovery of otherwise wasted food and safely transform it into healthy meals for our community. They will work in collaboration with other team members including AARP and AmeriCorps Members to prep, produce, package, label, store, and distribute food for the Food Recovery meal program. They are responsible for the overall cleanliness of our two commercial kitchens including, but not limited to, washing dishes, sweeping, mopping, and organizing raw materials.
- Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Experience: Prep cook and/or dishwashing experience preferred.
- Additional Requirements: Ability to attain a Texas Food Handler’s Card. Ability to work flexible hours including some weekends, as requested. Ability to purchase a kitchen uniform including non-slip shoes. Maintains Texas Operator’s License and able to meet the driver certification requirements of CitySquare (21 years of age or older) preferred.
