Food Pantry Intake Specialist

The Food Pantry Intake Specialist is responsible for assisting with various Food Pantry operations. The Intake Specialist will receive and check-in neighbors, assist new neighbors with their paperwork, assess the specific needs of a neighbor, and educate neighbors on the Food Pantry and other CitySquare resources. He/she is responsible for entering the neighbor’s information into the CitySquare database and ensuring the information is accurate and remains up-to-date. The Intake Specialist will answer incoming calls as needed, respond to inquiries as appropriate, and assist with the set up and clean up of the facility each day. He/she is responsible for ensuring that our neighbor’s needs are addressed and that they are assisted in a timely and effective manner.


Education: High school diploma or GED required.

Experience:  One (1) year of experience in a customer service role preferred.

Licensure/Certification: None

Additional Requirements:  Ability to speak, read and write in both English and Spanish preferred.

Basic computer skills required. Must be able to work occasional weekends and flexible hours as requested.
