The Food Operations Manager is responsible for managing the food outreach operation within the food pantry and warehouse at the Opportunity Center. He/She is responsible for training and supervising all related team members including employees, volunteers and AmeriCorps members.
He/She is responsible for managing the procurement of food; maintaining existing and sourcing new donated food opportunities; and efficiently and effectively storing and rotating all inventory for the food pantry. He/She is responsible for the ongoing compliance with all food bank, safety and health department regulations and guidelines. He/She will manage and maintain database on a timely basis to ensure integrity and accuracy of all program data. He/She will work collaboratively with Operations, Hospitality WorkPaths, café & food rescue team members to achieve shared goals. The manager will support other CitySquare programs and develop new community partnerships that further the mission of CitySquare.
Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Experience: At least 2 years of management experience required.
Additional Requirements: Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred. Able to communicate with different audiences including employees, volunteers, neighbors, and management. Willing and able to collaborate with other CitySquare Departments as well as external partners.
