Drop-in Center Program Manager 

Position Summary

The Drop-in Center Program Manager is responsible for program implementation and coordination of the continuum of services that will be provided by CitySquare through the Drop-in Center portion of the After8toEducate collaborative with Promise House, Dallas Independent School District, and Social Venture Partners located at the Fannie C. Harris Youth Center. Programming at the Drop-in Center will include intake, assessment, referral, person-centered planning, mentoring, case management, support groups, and skill building. This position collaborates with all stakeholders of this After8 collaborative composed of numerous community providers and state and private agencies to manage a comprehensive case planning approach: maintaining a high degree of external contact with community resources. The Drop-in Center Program Manager will work closely with TRAC leadership to also ensure all services have proper evaluation tools that are utilized and tracked on a regular basis for reporting, and analyzed for program improvement.


  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree required; Social Work or Counseling. Prefer advanced degree and/or MSW preferred. Experience may substitute for advanced degree. Must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree and two (2) years of full-time, paid work experience with at-risk youth. We seek individuals with skills in clinical case management, such as an LPC or LCSW certification/intern.


  • At least two (2) years of paid, full-time work experience with at-risk youth either in collaboration with CPS, child placement, juvenile justice, runaway, and homeless youth, or like organizations.

  • Background in community organization, youth homelessness, and child advocacy work.

  • Broad knowledge of mental/behavioral health, educational, and clinical theory, including diagnostic and treatment plans in family systems approach required.

  • Demonstrated effective collaborative action.

  • History of exemplary organizational, management and communications. Marketing and project management experience a plus.

  • Licensure/Certification: LMSW, LPC or LCSW preferred. Experience in clinical case management highly preferred.

Additional Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

  • Ability to embrace rapid change and possess a highly developed service orientation.

  • Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with senior management, staff, clients, collaborative partners, consultants, and the community.

  • Proven effectiveness and ease in a multi-cultural environment.

  • Ability to relate well to youth/families of varied cultural, socioeconomic, and lifestyle backgrounds.

  • Knowledge of laws, policies and procedures governing child welfare locally and nationally.

  • Strong analytical, creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.

  • Effective listening, verbal and written communications skills
