WorkPaths is CitySquare’s workforce program that connects people to the transformative power of work, community and opportunity. The Director of TradePaths is responsible for leading all aspects of trade certification training programs at CitySquare. The Director’s primary responsibility is to build effective partnerships with employers, training partners, colleges/universities, funders and community partners to ensure we have effective, relevant training programs with certifications that meet industry needs and fill talent gaps. He/she will partner externally and internally to create and execute a training and employment strategy that will successfully meet the needs of both the employers and the neighbors. The Director will oversee the neighbor experience in our TradePaths trainings; from candidate recruitment, to job training, to job placement and post placement. He/she will negotiate and manage the contracts/grants held with training institutions and community partners/funders. He/she will also supervise the day-to-day operations of the program which includes various strategic, administrative and operational responsibilities.
Education/Experience: High school diploma plus five (5) years experience in workforce development OR bachelor’s degree plus three (3) years experience in workforce development. Experience leading teams and building coalitions.
Additional Requirements: Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Must be able to work occasional over-time and flexible hours as requested.
