The DCP Coordinator is responsible for coordinating passenger transportation services (scheduling, route planning, supervising and directing drivers) for the Dallas Connector Project. The DCP is a no-charge transportation program designed to assist low-income and/or homeless individuals in traveling to and from pre-determined locations on a 26-mile loop within the Dallas city limits on a daily basis. The DCP also provides on-demand transportation services for persons experiencing homeless during special circumstances such as inclement weather (sustained temperatures below 36 degrees) and encampment closures. The DCP Coordinator will interview, hire and supervise transportation specialists (drivers) and on-board outreach workers, assign duties of the staff so that the maximum number of passengers can be scheduled, safely transported and passenger information accurately and efficiently collected and reported. The DCP Coordinator will gather financial information and organize the information for weekly and monthly reports to be submitted to the AVP – Health & Housing and DCP Board of Governors. The individual in this position must be experienced in assisting employees and passengers, handling e-mail, faxes, phone calls, maintaining driver schedules, following policies and procedures for the safe and efficient operation of vehicles as outlined in the CitySquare Employee Handbook, collecting information, creating reports, filing documents and documenting their own efforts as well as the efforts of others. This DCP Coordinator will report directly to the AVP – Health and Housing.


Education: High school diploma or GED required.
Experience:  Two (2) or more years of experience in a similar role within a for-profit or non-profit setting required.
Additional Requirements: Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred. Must be able to read and write Spanish. Must have excellent computer skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office 2010 (M.S. Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher). Must have valid Texas Class C driver’s license and be able to drive a vehicle rated for up to 25 passengers. Ability to work occasional flexible hours as requested.
