The Crisis Coordinator will serve as the first point of contact for youth requesting services at TRAC. He/she will work quickly with youth to identify crisis needs, determine program eligibility, and initiate services. The Crisis Coordinator will be the liaison to TDFPS PAL Unit for eligibility determinations and also to the various internal TRAC program staff. He/She will refer all youth to appropriate service providers; monitor referrals; and provide crisis intervention. He/she will be responsible for youth in the TRAC building and creating a welcoming environment to our resource center.
Education: Bachelor’s degree required; degree in social work or a related field preferred.
Experience: Experience working with young at-risk populations, youth in foster care or who have been neglected or abused.
Licensure/Certification: None required.
Additional Requirements: Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook. Must be able to utilize a case tracking system. Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Must be able to travel within assigned region. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends as required.
