Position Summary
The Assistant Program Manager of the Homeless Outreach Team (HOT) will assist the Program Manager with daily street outreach operations and providing essential street outreach and case management services necessary to reach out to unsheltered homeless individuals to connect them to emergency shelter, housing and critical services, requiring knowledge of and experience in harm reduction, housing first, trauma informed care, motivational interviewing, mental health, addictive disorders, benefits eligibility and community resources. This position involves moving homeless neighbors from the streets into CitySquare’s HOT Interim Housing and then into Permanent Supportive Housing. The Assistant Program Manager of HOT will serve as the liaison between Street Outreach and the Interim Housing/Rapid Rehousing (RRH) program. This position will be responsible for the daily operations of Interim Housing, ensure grant compliance, and have direct oversight of the housing case management staff, interns and Americorps members. The Assistant Program Manager will use the coordinated assessment system, document and verify eligibility and will be responsible for the Documentation of Priority Status (DOPS) Process that includes the prioritization assignment of neighbor as well as reviewing documents for neighbors to stay on the Housing Priority List.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related degree. Master’s in Social Work preferred.
  • Experience: Two to three (2-3) years of experience in homeless outreach and case management. Management experience preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification: LMSW preferred.
  • Additional Requirements: Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook. Ability to work occasional flexible hours as requested. Must have a valid driver’s license, insurance and reliable transportation. Willing to transport program participants, if needed. Willing to work with chronically homeless individuals with disabilities (physical, mental and/or substance abuse) who may or may not have criminal backgrounds.
