The Assistant Director of CitySquare Arts, Opportunity Center will assist with building the external and internal organizational infrastructure to accomplish the restoration of the historic Forest Theater in South Dallas, and with achieving milestones to enter into the Purpose-Built Communities membership network agreement. A Purpose-Built Community is a model based on the successful holistic revitalization of Atlanta’s East Lake neighborhood. The approach requires coordinated implementation of three strategies within a clearly defined neighborhood: (1) high-quality mixed-income housing; (2) a cradle-to-college education pipeline; and (3) community health and wellness programs. This includes building and nurturing critical relationships, establishing internal operating systems, and simultaneously managing multiple projects and responsibilities. The Assistant Director will also play an integral role in ongoing operations and strategic leadership of the Forest Theater. They will also be a key liaison in the CitySquare/Purpose Built Communities relationship.
